As stated in the St. Michael-Albertville Middle Schools 2011-2012 "Middle Years Matter" Student/Parent Handbook & Assignment notebook: "The computers in the media center and the computer labs can only be used for educational purposes. At no time is a student allowed to use the computers for any activity unrelated to school (ex. Email, online chatting, browsing the internet, playing non-educational games)

Educational games can be described as games that require the participant to THINK. Games in which violence or driving, flying, or chasing items are not considered educational. (Those types of games only develop hand/eye coordination.)
